Your first launch
The first time you open ShotPorter, macOS will confirm the app was checked by Apple.
You’ll also be asked for permission to access memory cards and the folders you import into. These are standard privacy prompts, granted once.
What’s new in 0.1.2
- If a copy goes wrong, ShotPorter shows its rescue copies on the completion card — with the folders where they are kept
- Clearer message when the trial-code email could not be sent
A note for Intel Macs
ShotPorter runs on Intel, but most of our testing happens on Apple silicon, and on older machines processing large cards will be noticeably slower. Copying rules and safety checks behave exactly the same on every Mac: each file goes through the same processing and verification protocol, regardless of the model.
If you’re on Intel and something looks off, we’d especially value your report: Settings › Licensing › Report a Problem…
You’re joining the closed alpha
ShotPorter is in early closed testing. If you hit a bug, a crash, or anything that seems wrong, please report it from inside the app: Settings › Licensing › Report a Problem…
This works even if the app closed unexpectedly — just send the report next time you launch it. Describe what happened and send it with the attachment that’s added automatically, which carries the logs we need. Screenshots are very welcome.
Send us one real report with logs and we’ll upgrade your trial to a full licence.
